As a superintendent pharmacist, AJ is responsible for the overall management and standards within the pharmacy. His role encompasses various responsibilities that directly influence patient care including compliance and governance, clinical leadership and professional standards, patient-centred care and communication, quality assurance and improvement, ethical and professional responsibility as well as service development and innovation. As one of the founding members of Newgen, AJ has been there from the very beginning and has helped develop Newgen into a registered and fully functional online pharmacy with a noble mission which is that of helping and serving local and UK-wide communities.

 He studied pharmacy at the University of Reading. In 2012, following successful completion of his pharmacist pre-registration training year, he joined a small quiet independent community pharmacy which later became part of a well-known multiples, first as a regular pharmacist before quickly being promoted as a pharmacist manager a year later.

In 2020 he was named Primary Care Network (PCN) lead for Poplar and Limehouse Network 7. He was responsible for making sure GP practices, pharmacies and other healthcare organisations within this network worked closely together in providing integrated services to their local populations.
